DIMCloud: A Distributed Framework for District Energy Simulation and Management
نویسندگان
چکیده
To optimize energy consumption, it is needed to monitor real-time data and simulate all energy flows. In a city district context, energy consumption data usually come from many sources and encoded in different formats. However, few models have been proposed to trace the energy behavior of city districts and handle related data. In this article, we introduce DIMCloud, a model for heterogeneous data management and integration at district level, in a pervasive computing context. Our model, by means of an ontology, is able to register the relationships between different data sources of the district and to disclose the sources locations using a publish-subscribe design pattern. Furthermore, data sources are published as Web Services, abstracting the underlying hardware from the user’s point-of-view.

Power Management in a Utility Connected Micro-Grid with Multiple Renewable Energy Sources
As an efficient alternative to fossil fuels, renewable energy sources have attained great attention due to their sustainable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly characteristic. However, as a deficiency, renewable energy sources have low reliability because of their non-deterministic and stochastic generation pattern. The use of hybrid renewable generation systems along with the storag...
متن کاملFactors Affecting Photovoltaic Technology Application in Decentralized Electricity Production in Iran: a Conceptual Framework
Using a variety of solar power plants is one of the solutions governments use to respond to energy and sustainable development needs. While Iran has a strong potential for using solar energy, the application of solar energy, especially through PV technology, has been limited due to the country’s richness of fossil fuels and their low prices. Therefore, it is important to adopt effective strateg...

Abstract: Lighting passages is done for citizens’ welfare simultaneously with the peak of the consumption of the network, from sunset to sunrise. The present study aimed at designing a model of sustainable urban management in the field of lighting, with simulation of the use of photovoltaic LEDs instead of sodium and halogen lamps. Accordingly, in a system simulation of the network, the scenari...
متن کاملA Distributed Control Architecture for Autonomous Operation of a Hybrid AC/DC Microgrid System
Hybrid AC/DC microgrids facilitate the procedure of DC power connection into the conventional AC power system by developing the distributed generations (DGs) technologies. The conversion processes between AC and DC electrical powers are more convenient by hybrid systems. In this paper, an energy management system (EMS) for a hybrid microgrid network is proposed due to the optimal utilization of...
